Each turtle is hand sculpted and carved in Linden (Basswood), embellished with unique chip carved patterns and finished with brown mahogany gel stain and lacquer. The "standing dead forest" is driftwood.

The base is an unique slice of "live edge" Maple Burl providing a perfect "Island" for a family of soaring turtles.

It was finished in boiled linseed oil (no stain), lacquer,

and hard wax.
